The server chipset is an Intel X58, and I connected the drive to one of the rear USB 2.0 ports and set up a nightly bare-metal backup. The event errors have been occuring at 7:00AM and 12:00PM. pop over to these guys

When I have used a USB 3.0 cable to a LaCie USB 3.0 card in the server I was getting event error 11. Thanks for the help. But the drive/controller has nothing to report until the disk(s) spin up and finish their self-test, and the driver may not know that it went to sleep. Login here! One example is the start of a scheduled backup after Event Id 11 Wininit Your cache administrator is webmaster. Remember that the errors never occured during a backup (see comments previously in this posting). USB 2.0 OK USB 3.0 OK USB 2.0 OK USB 3.0 Below are the events that occur just before and after the Event In particular, a couple of months ago I put a Intel 320 SSD in as the boot drive, and moved the regular drive into the 2nd hard drive slot. Event Id 11 Server 2008 R2 I believe that the errors only occured around Volume Shadow Copy events.
