A little tip I picked up off of another site you can see proof that distcc is shooting off jobs by using this command Code: netstat -n 1 | grep ip.of.helper.computer When rebuilding locally, it decides that there are only four available cores and it adopts the behaviour of -j4. no checking for the pthreads library -lpthreads...
