I have run it on safe mode and it makes no difference, so it doesn't seem to be an add-in causing the problem. The problem persisted till today when i decided to look for help. When I close Outlook down, the CPU usage drops to about 10%. Problem solved.I did notice before I removed it, that Outlook was not displaying my tasks correctly.
