You can complain about the type of posts or number of responses, but who wants to go to a forum where literally nothing ever happens? #15 < > Showing 1-15 of Password Register Games FAQ Today's Posts Search Search Forums Tag Search Advanced Search Google Search My Threads and Posts My Posts My Threads Steam Game Discussions # - C D - Published 11/27/2014 05:52 AM | Updated 11/12/2016 09:11 AM The error "Failed to start game (unknown error)" is a Steam error.
I just bought this game this morning before I went to bed & downloaded it to my SSD, then when it didn't work I deleted & redownloaded it thinking it was Magicka 2 Won't Start There, open the magicka folder and install xna first and then dotnetfx which are located in the dependencies folder. Magicka Windows 10 Crash
And if people aren't posting new threads, why bother having a forum at all? have a peek at these guys Oddly enough, I installed and played a different game (Batman: Arkham Asylum), then went back and tried Magicka. Thanks for that. But for some, this is a pain to fix. Magicka Crash To Desktop On Startup
I have done everything on all the forum posts excepting reinstalling windows. Run Steam as Administrator In some cases, running Steam itself in Administrator mode may resolve the issue: Navigate to your Steam install folder (Default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam). Go to Properties then the Local Files tab. check over here launched on my laptop, same issue. /headscratcher...
It worked for some odd reason. Like 20 fps, 10 if there are bigger explosions. #3 CorndogCatheter View Profile View Posts 27 Nov, 2012 @ 6:42am NO its not even a laptop, it's a desktop. After reinstalling I'm still getting the exact same error.
this is getting quite frustrating.
I turned that off and it works now. #11 study makes me happy View Profile View Posts 3 Jan, 2013 @ 4:15pm thanks my friend #12 AWFordJr View Profile View Posts Last edited by Cyan; 12 May, 2015 @ 9:29am #9 Wolf View Profile View Posts 12 May, 2015 @ 9:32am Well, only if i right click on the icon below while Last edited by [Lemons] [email protected]; 30 Nov, 2012 @ 10:24am #14 The Gentleman Clown View Profile View Posts 30 Nov, 2012 @ 12:13pm Most of the problems I've seen here can Thread Tools Display Modes 06-22-2012, 11:07 AM #1 TheM4rchH4re Join Date: Dec 2009 Reputation: 0 Posts: 2 Magicka Fails to Start.

Go to Steam\Steamapps\Common\Magicka\ and delete Magicka.exe3. this worked for me and i just dint have this program installed. than fix the program called xnafx31 redist, if you do not have this program installed but it still shows up there, just open it up and install it. than go common.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you should contact Steam Support. Go to Properties then the Local Files tab.
